Rotary International is the world's first service club organisation. It was established in 1905 in Chicago by Paul Harris and now has more than 1.2 million members in over 200 countries.

The men and women members of Rotary clubs make their skills and talents available to the organisation to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. The Rotary motto is,"Service above self".

The Club meets at lunchtime on Wednesdays at the Waterside Hotel, Ness Bank, Inverness.
